Although biogas desulfurization and flue gas desulfurization are both desulfurization processes, they are completely different. Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) is the removal of SO2 and SO3 from industrial waste gases. We often talk about desulfurization and denitrification, referring to the removal of sulfur dioxide. Biogas desulfurization refers to the removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from biogas in order to reduce the corrosion of subsequent pipelines, combustion boilers or generators.
